Forty years of experience in the decorative concrete industry has fortified our view that concrete, though challenging, is one of the most exciting, versatile, durable and aesthetic, in short, magical man-made products ever conceived. As common as concrete is in our lives, there is nothing common about it. We’ve focused on the gee-whiz abilities of concrete since beginning in the stamped concrete field only to realize that we’re still standing on the tip of the iceberg.
The name of our company, Cliffhangers, was originally chosen as a namesake for the simulated rock formations that we’ve enjoyed creating in places like The Mall of America, The Franklin Park Zoo in Boston, The Grand Wailea in Hawaii and the Dan Hotel in Elat, Israel. Locally, we’ve built several large waterfalls in the Golden Eagle II Subdivision and one at Thunder Springs, as well as residential climbing walls, and a nice little wine cellar or two. Rock work, as we call it, remains a strong interest of ours but does not provide enough work in such a small community as Sun Valley, so over the years we’ve expanded into concrete counter tops, sinks, showers, bathtubs, fireplaces, outdoor furniture, sculpture and wherever else our clients’ imaginations have carried us.
Our clients have been an invaluable source of inspiration for adding to our company’s list of accomplishments. On many occasions we’ve been asked to create things in concrete that we’ve done before, differently. What we’ve learned along the way has given us a good view of the tip of that iceberg.
We could fill this page with many details concerning our experiences in concrete... we’ve had many in and out of country experiences, particularly pertaining to stamped concrete paving. More could be said about the challenges Cliffhangers has met since it was established 14 years ago. But if you have a decorative concrete project in mind, you’d probably rather talk about that, and honestly, we’d rather talk about that, too, because something new is likely to spring from your ideas and that can be exciting for both of us. We are, after all, here to help you with your dreams, in concrete.
