It was truly one-of-a-kind that united a cozy mountain craftsman style with contemporary clean lines. The room layout was ideal for families and entertaining either large or small groups. I could see that a great deal of thought had gone into every facet. Everything from the gourmet kitchen and spa-like master bath to the gift-wrapping station, walk-in vault, and roaring water feature was simply incredible. It was evident that the team that had created this masterpiece left no detail unattended to. As the winner of the prestigious “People’s Choice” award, as well as “Best Interior Design”, others obviously agreed. I just had to have one more look at it, so I convinced my husband and another couple to take a drive with me to the new Park City development known as The Woods of Parley’s Lane.

Off the beaten path, this 192 acre paradise is tucked away just northeast of Parley’s Summit off exit #140. With just 44 spaciously sized lots, 80% of it is dedicated open-space. Each home-site caters to individual owners preferences, be it heavily wooded seclusion or breathtaking vistas. I took a brochure from The Woods’ wonderful gatehouse that is constructed with intricate stonework and large timbers. Then the four of us spent the next hour touring around and taking in the jaw-dropping views and scenery. Eastern panoramas of rugged mountains cascaded into hills and canyons. The superb landscaping blended flawlessly with the natural woodlands. Over four miles of amazing nature trails were interwoven throughout the entire development so that any resident need take only a few steps from their front door to find themselves in peaceful wilderness. The community pond was sparkling clean and the plant life diverse. We spotted deer and moose that left us feeling as though we were in the remote Uintah Mountains. We could hardly believe a neighborhood that possessed this private, undisturbed atmosphere could still be just 15 minutes from both Salt Lake and Park City.

Upon returning home, I started searching for more information on the Woods With A View home and Douglas Knight Construction.
