Question - What do clients think of the design/ build approach to construction?
Answer - We find that our clients love the design/ build concept because it allows them to complete an entire project with one company instead of coordinating with their architect, their builder, their interior designer, etc. Most of our clients are busy people and we can coordinate the whole process for them, saving a lot of time, energy, and costs.

Question - How do you maintain communications with clients who are from out of state or are not living in the area?
Answer - By using emails, digital photos and scanners, we can communicate with clients on a daily basis at the client’s convenience. Our project managers communicate with clients regularly with emails to present options and updates and inform as to upcoming decisions. Digital photos are sent frequently so that the clients can see their project progressing.

Question - Do you build houses that are designed by other architects and designers?
Answer - Yes, we do. We enjoy building designs from outside our own company as it gives us an opportunity to see new ideas and methods. We also do renovations and additions.

Question - How does Gassetts Group build to a budget?
Answer - Gassetts Group tracks the cost of all phases of construction on all projects. From our project “library” we pull similar projects to what we believe a new client is looking for and by making adjustments can create an estimate. All of our projects are broken down into over 50 categories (i.e. interior painting, flooring, etc). By comparing costs in each category from our catalog of projects we are able to create a working budget. Clients can exercise budgeting control by making decisions within each phase or category. For example, carpet @ $30 yd or $50 yd, or interior doors for $200 apiece or $400.apiece. In this way, clients can see how their decisions affect the budget.

Question - What aspects of the interior design do you generally get involved in?
Answer - It can vary quite a bit from job to job. We can be involved in as much or as little of this process as the client needs. One client may enjoy doing most of the process on their own and just want help on paint colors. Another client may want help creating an entire look, like an arts & crafts style interior. This may involve coordinating all aspects of the interior from woods for flooring, trim and built-ins in addition to colors, hardware and lighting and plumbing fixtures.

Question - How does Gassetts Group produce its custom interior woodwork?
Answer - Gassetts Group has a complete woodworking shop that produces custom trim, built-ins and furniture. Clients often ask us to build pieces such as desks, beds, entertainment centers or bookcases that match the house’s décor.

Question - What happens after a home is complete?
Answer - Gassetts Group prides itself on its product & customer satisfaction. After completion, a standard 1 year warranty applies, but this is not the end of the client/ builder relationship. We remain a phone call or email away for additional assistance or guidance
