Question - Where does Jess get his inspiration?
Answer - From numerous overseas architectural tours, Jess has designed and replicated the Old World styling of provincial French Chateaus, and hillside Tuscan Villas. Jess has a penchant for detail.
Question - Besides the finish, what is it that makes a Jess Alway home so special?
Answer - Jess Alway strives to make each home a family legacy---structures that will not only stand the tests of time, but house the memories of parents and grandchildren. How do we do that? By using the best materials available from foundation to finish. The perfection is in the details you can't see : 4x6 framing, full wood-grain paneling, timber-peg truss systems, hand-cut roofs, and blown-in insulation, silent-floor systems and plumbing, etc.
Question - How many homes does Jess Alway build each year?
Answer - We build anywhere from 4 to 9 homes per year. Each home takes a minimum of 8-months for construction build-out.
Question - Where has Jess built--and how can I see more of his work?
Answer - For 30 years Jess Alway Inc. was located in Portland, Oregon. We built in some of the NW's most prestigious neighborhoods: Village on the Lake (Lake Oswego), Dunthorp (Portland), Wilhelm Farms (Tualatin), and through many Street of Dreams showcases. In 2003, Jess Alway Inc. moved its headquarters to Bend, Oregon to enjoy endless sunshine among other pursuits. We have had the privilege of building Mountain River Estates--- a luxury neighborhood on the Deschutes River, and are a premier builder in Pronghorn, a resort golf community.
