It is the mission of Rutland Custom Woodworking and Picus Custom Homes to bring the dimensions of Craftsmanship and fine Woodworking to the Home Construction business. We feel the importance of Pride of Workmanship, Attention to details, Customer satisfaction and Quality of the finished product.

Our Craftsmen are dedicated to bringing your plans, drawings, & ideas to life in a professional manner. We encourage each of our 10 Carpenters to establish a personal rapport with the client to best understand their dream, whether it is Contemporary, Old World, Rustic Mountain or Japanese. Our finished product is our best recommendation and most of our business is with repeat contractors & developers. John & Eric Rutland combined bring more than 50 years of experience in residential construction and finishing from places as diverse as Canada, Japan, Korea and USA.

Question - Who have you worked for in the past?
Answer - We have subcontracted for some of the largest and best Custom Home builders in Summit & Wasatch Co. as well as private Individuals in the Park City area.
Question - What are your specialties?
Answer - Interior Wood trim, staircases, and just about anything made of wood.
Question - Do you do any exterior work?
Answer - On occasion we do deck railings and detail work on roof systems.

Answer - We can take a sketch, picture & sometimes just a thought and fill in the details to come up with the desired product.

Question - How are RCW and Picus Custom Homes connected?
Answer - PCH is a recent outgrowth of Rutland Custom Woodworking where we feel we can have control over the whole Product from conception to completion, giving the same care to each phase of construction that we give to our Finish Carpentry business.
